Leadership Education & Development
Ashley Borders is a is a Graduate Assistant who advises students in leadership education programs, which provide students with hands-on opportunities to grow their capacity to become effective leaders. Before moving to leadership education, Ashley worked with students in the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS), which is a student organization responsible for bringing a majority of professional entertainment events to campus. In this role, she guided students through the many aspects of event managment from contracts to maketing to on-site logistics and support. She believes that being involved in programs on campus is an important part of a student’s college experience, outside of the classroom.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a minor in Leadership from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration at Appalachian State University.
