Campus Activities, Fraternity and Sorority Life
Ryan Laughlin is the Graduate Assistant of Fraternity and Sorority Life in the office of Campus Activities. He loves working with students affiliated with different greek organizations, and strives to give them the same positive experiences that he had while attending school.
Ryan believes in the benefits that come from participating in fraternity and sorority life. Whether it’s the leadership skills that students pick up from their roles, or learning to break down different barriers in their life through new experiences. Ryan’s favorite topics to talk about in the field are finding different ways to overcome diversity issues in greek life, and the importance of self-care for students.
Ryan received his Bachelor in Economics at Winthrop University. While a student he worked to re-found his fraternities chapter on the campus. After serving as president of his organization he decided to take his skills to Winthrop’s Interfraternity Council. After spending time as an alumni volunteer he decided to pursue a career in the field.
Ryan loves cooking, home brewing ciders, and doing yoga in his free time.
