ACT, Alternative Service Experience
RaShaun Robinson is a Graduate Assistant who aids Summer Wisdom, Assistant Director of Alternative Service Experience (ASE) within the Appalachian & Community Together (ACT) foundation, to assist students with an opportunity to serve, learn, explore, and make a difference in the community on a local, national, or global level, during breaks from school.
RaShaun believes that although our individual actions may not be of significance, when people work together, their ACTions can be anything but.
RaShaun has worked within the Plemmons Student Union as well as the University Bookstore, offering a smile and helping hand to all in need. Through his early support of organizations such as Green Club, Harriett B. Webster program, ASCEND, and Enactus, RaShaun has grown a passion for social activism and helping one’s fellow human.
RaShaun holds an undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, where he majored in Business Management. RaShaun is excited to begin his Student Affairs Master’s Program, beginning in Fall 2019. Like the loving staff at Appalachian, who guided and supported him along the way, he wishes to lend a helping hand to his fellow Mountaineers, as we all strive for higher knowledge.
